Brian Schmitt

Brian Schmitt is Chief Executive Officer for The PrivateBank-Georgia. He is responsible for providing leadership to all functional aspects of the business, including personal and commercial banking, commercial real estate, treasury management, capital markets, wealth management and private banking.

With over 25 years of experience in the Atlanta banking market, Schmitt previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Piedmont Bank of Georgia, which was acquired by PrivateBancorp in 2006. Prior to that, he held the role of Senior Vice President for Commercial Real Estate and SBA Lending at BB&T Corporation. Schmitt also spent time with Premier Lending, later to become Premier Bancshares, Inc., where he served as Executive Vice President, Lending.

Schmitt is a Director on the Board of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta and is a member of the Budget and Finance Committee for the organization. In addition, he is on the Board of the Atlanta Humane Society. He received his bachelor’s degree in finance from Troy University, in Troy, Alabama.
