Joan Schellhorn
Joan Schellhorn is Managing Director and Chief Human Resources Officer of The PrivateBank and is responsible for overseeing Human Resources activities across the organization’s various entities. Schellhorn is a member of the Executive Committee.
Schellhorn has over 35 years of experience in human resources and joined The PrivateBank in 2007. Previously she was Senior Vice President for ABN AMRO/LaSalle Bank where she last served as the senior human resources business partner to LaSalle Bank’s commercial banking group. She held a number of Human Resources management positions throughout her career at LaSalle. Prior to that, Schellhorn was manager of corporate planning and budgeting for Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association and she worked as recruiting and internal mobility officer for First Chicago Bank.
Schellhorn received her bachelor’s degree in sociology from Edgewood College in Madison, Wisconsin. She received her Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR®) certification in 2000. Joan is an advisor on Human Resources issues for The Lawyer’s Committee for Better Housing.
