Wallace Head
Wallace L. Head is President of The PrivateWealth Group, which includes business units that provide trust administration, investment management and brokerage services to clients of PrivateBancorp, Inc. Head also is a member of PrivateBancorp’s Executive Committee.
Head has over 30 years of experience providing tax, estate and financial planning as well as investment management and trust administration services to private clients. Immediately prior to joining PrivateBancorp, Inc. in 2004, he served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Family Office Exchange LLC. Previously, he held senior positions with investment management firms, served as national director of individual tax and financial advisory services for Arthur Andersen & Co., and founded a consulting firm that provided comprehensive personal financial planning services to corporate executives and business owners.
Active in many cultural and professional organizations, Head is Vice-Chairman of the Board and Chairman of the Finance and Audit Committee of the John G. Shedd Aquarium in Chicago, Chairman of the Development Committee of the Board of Westminster College, and a member of the Chicago Estate Planning Council, CCH Financial and Estate Planning Advisory Board, American Bar Association, Bar Associations of Chicago, Illinois, and Missouri, AICPA and Illinois CPA Society. He holds a BA degree from Westminster College and MBA and JD degrees from the University of Missouri.
